More like the interviewer want to gain some fame for himself.

He made himself damn satki.
But, his viewership is pretty poor.

Jack is walking close with the white gang for his weekend morning walk.
(Not sure whether he is still doing it.)
Why would he want to interview AY and allow him to say the wrong stuff on his show ?
