Hello Boys and Gals, Have anyone been to kanazawa b4? With the new Shinkansen operation, quite tempted to pay a visit. Any reviews?

The Garden is beautiful. last time i went in 2013, will be visiting in Nov 2015.

Kenroku-en is definitely beautiful. Was just there a week+ ago! Kanazawa seems to be a popular choice for tourists, observed many sg, msia, tw tourists when I was there.

The castle is quite cool, 21st century art museum is good, samurai district, ninjadera worth a visit.

Seafood is unbelievably good, I had seafood items for almost all my meals there lol.

I took a daytrip to Shirakawa-go as well, nice views and experience

3d2n better. nice place to visit. should do an overnight stay at Shirakawago too.

many hotels around Kanazawa Station. APA Kanazawa is affordable hotel with hot spring bath.

I went there in May, took new Shinkansen there. 3D2N should be sufficient.

I stayed at APA kanazawa, located just next to train station.

From Kanazawa, you can take bus to Shirogawa go. From Shirogawa go, you can go to Takayama too.

Omicho market is nice for food.

If you are staying a few days, can also consider Tateyama Kurobe route starting from Toyama, next station from Kanazawa and the Kurobe Gorge.
