Hi,

I need some help in Kaohsiung hotel.

I would like to stay in Kindness Hotel but are unsure about the different branches:

1) Kindness Hotal Jhong Jheng
2) Kindness Hotel Lio He Ye Shi
3）Kindness Hotel Houyi Jiuru

Would like to be walking distance to the train station and night market. But seems like Jhong Jheng is in between two train stations but the distance is quite far. Kindly can someone advise me. Thank you.

stayed at Lio He - Jhong Jheng previously, yes is in between Formosa Boulevard (interchange) and City Council.

ard 5 mins walk for both. it is the closest to Lio He NM.

there are 3 Lio He hotels, Qi Xian, Nan Hua, Jhong Jheng.

I stayed at Jhong Jheng, nearest to the NM.

What are the prices for these hotels?

I stayed at Cozy Planet Hostel. Shared bathroom but own room. Pretty neat and clean. Like it a lot. Prices are pretty good too. S$63 for double room. So not sure if I want to stay at the hostel again or stay at a hotel for upcoming trip.

some of the Kindness provide breakfast which is ard $72.

those w/o is $60 if I am nt wrong.

Have anyone tried Airbnb? The prices seems pretty good and able to get less than $50 for an apartment a night.

I stayed in Royal hotel. Chang Chien, right beside one of the kindness hotel. Clean and good enough for me. Took train to 2 other night market, simple and easy.

Recently stayed in Kindness Liu He. We have a family room for four. Very spacious & within walking distance to stations. Breakfast was a good spread. There's the free flow ice cream & loan of bicycles available.

Stayed in the sky 85 hotel. The views were spectacular but hotel is old. Breakfast was a huge spread with lots of selection for vegetarians. Walking distance to NM too.

If want to go NM in Kaoshiong, avoid LiuHe cos very touristy & lots of China tourists. The hotel personnel recommended Kai Xuan NM which is near Dreammall. Lots of food to try.

I stayed at Kindness Hotel Xiong Zhong. Very near the station.

Very good service. Breakfast provided. Free flow of ice cream and coffee 24 hrs. Even provide snacks for tea.

Actually, I'm deciding on either
1) Kindness Hotal Jhong Jheng or
2) Kindness Hotel Lio He Ye Shi?

Based on google map, no. 2 is nearer to train station. But it seems located in a small street unlike no. 1 is on the Main Street. Not sure if the small street is quite at night? Also, it is a 3* as compared to no.1 which is a 4*.

Anyone has stayed on both and can advise? Thanks.

Try Kindness Hotel Xiong Zhong and Kindness Hotel Houyi-Jiuru.

Very good service hotel chain, breakfast, 24 hrs beverage and ice cream, pop-con. Also provide tea snacks.

Xiong Zhong is more convenient but Houyi Jiuru is newer.

Also, you can walk to Liu He Night Market (find it overrated though) from Xiong Zhong. Houyi Jiuru is on the other side of the railway station so it's a bit further away.

Don't think you will go wrong with either option - the newer Kindness hotels are clean, comfortable, provide decent breakfast (and refreshments throughout the day) and excellent service.

You can walk through the Station. Just let the station officer know that you are walking through (either way), they will issue you a slip for you to notify the officer on the other end.

Then I would recommend Kindness Hotel Xiong Zhong. There is a little gift shop right across. You can walk to the night market and along the way there are many shops, also a book store, and snack stalls.
