Can we create a New Guinness World Record for-
1,000 stalk of gift-of-gifts roses,
folded by 1,000 people, in 90 minutes ?

I think it's possible - if we are inspired.
In 10 years time? 5 years time?
Doesn't matter.
1,000 different color roses - What a Fascinating sight it will be.

As I am overseas in Dec'10 and Jan'11,
I know that friends who want to learn the rose
will have difficulties to find me.
especially before the 2011 Valentines day,
where everyone suddenly gets interested to learn.
sigh. My advise is therefore to learn before Dec'2010.

I am not that great. But I have the heart to give.
The reason I teach is because I cannot find a teacher 3 years ago.
I will be your teacher if you are very sincere to learn.

My first 'class' starts on - 14 Aug 2010 Sat.
Location is already disclosed to persons attending.

My current plannings:
Max 6 people a group
Duration: 4 hours.
Location: Public places, not homes.
Tools and materials all inclusive.


In 2011, I need to focus on exams therefore,
I will refer friends who want to learn to those who already attended the class...

Wow... the original Kawazaki roses. You did some modifications to the angle of the 4 diagonals, like the phutan rose?

There is an alternate version of the K.rose design also on the web, gives a rose which is 'flatter' but looks better when it opens up. (suited for blooming, original is more 'bud-like')

Some managed to complete the entire stalk.
Good hearts and very very great determination.

From all my teaching experiences,
- usually the students will stay about 1.5 hours longer, and
- they will agree that its very hard to master this skill two weeks before Valentines day.

In the later part, you will be teaching your friends how to 'form' their first roses.

I insert a date - 16-Oct-2010 Sat. 12pm to 5pm.

I extend the lesson longer by an hour as
from past experiences, 4 hours is not enough.

When I was small, I loved the movie - Beauty and the beast.
One part, the enchanted rose, floating quietly in the glass dome -
Belle was so stunned and so disbelieving when she saw it.

I really like the thought.

May I... take your breath away ?

 

[Formula11]

I can fold a paper crane in 2 mins 30 sec.

I can form a scar-free Kawasaki rose head in 12 minutes.

But to form a rose (at this level) takes about 35 minutes.

The basic 12 lines is still the foundation.
12 x 4 sides = 48 lines. Followed by:
Floating, Forming, Keeping, Sculpturing, Insert central petals etc.

Hope everyone can try to form a Kawasaki rose,
to delight and surprise their special someone.
