Was trying to find some information on Koh Samet previously but was unable to find much, so I thought that I would provide a short write-up of my trip. I also went to some other places, but I guess these are the highlights.

Lazy to write too long, so any question just shoot.

Khao Yai

Stay at Phukumhom Resort, roughly 270 SGD for a night. Quite expensive, but I guess I already gotten the cheaper deal. Let the picture do the talking.

Things in the resort are mostly free, like archery, kayaking, drinks/snack in the room. But it's nothing to shout for. Got BBQ service that you can order and I think they will BBQ some food for you to eat, but need to order early.

Outside shower, got indoor one also though.

To 2nd story for chill, and Jacuzzi. The tub takes almost 3 hours to fill up! Almost died while waiting.

Koh Samet

Took a bus to Rayong, then Ban Phe Pier, took ~6 hours.

IMG_20160119_232216.jpg

Reach Rayong. Take something like "tutu" to ban phe, around 30min?

IMG_20160120_060518.jpg

Taking ferry to Samet. About 30-40min. Can't rmb the price, think 100-200 baht? Got speed boat service also, more expensive.

IMG_20160120_081018.jpg

Reach Samet, no pay the "entrance fee", doesn't seem like anyone is collecting though.

Rent a bike. 300 baht per day. Free gasoline provided. Can refill if used finish, but impossible. The place is too small, u can ride end to end for probably 50 times, don't know will use finish not the gasoline. :s13:

Oops, almost forgot to mention where I stayed - La Lune Beach Resort, located at Ao Wong Duan. Cost around 230 SGD for 2 night stay.

Saw got some wedding setup in middle of no-mans island, an small island off Samet.

Took a cab back to BKK, 2500 baht, in the end, the driver who drove me says that he only earn 1200 from the "agent". I got his contact, he says if directly contact him, he charge around 1500 baht only. Only drawback is that he speaks min english or none. If you speak thai then better and easier.

Lastly, the weather only turned cold the day that I came back to SG. So damn sad.

Can't rmb if its ao phai or ao phao. It's really nice there too. I went around to all the beaches. Ha-ha.

Yeah the resort itself is nice. Breakfast is normal. Mostly angmo some Chinese. But hat Sai kaew area is infested with Chinese.

That noodle in samet brings back memories, although I went there on Sept last year only. There is a cheap hawker too somewhere near the entrance of the national park, you probably will not spot it if you just walk outside along the path.

I only saw many dogs outside of beach area, like on the road outside the pier. They are harmless though.

Mine is not at the entrance. It's at ao Wong duan there. Right beside Tom pizza that road side.

The soup! Really the best. Have to eat to know. Ha-ha. I have eaten in many places in Singapore and Thailand but none like this. May be subjective though. One man's poison another man's meat though. But then again, even the locals also go there often to eat so i guess there's some standard to it.

Not sampan ha-ha. Some ferry, got shade one. Just that I sit at the front just right below the shade.
