Killer LAN and Anti-virus

Hi guys.. I not sure how many you guys are using Killer LAN. Mine came with it for MSI Z87-G45.

I noticed that installing AV (mine was avast!) and Killer LAN will keep screwing up my Winsock, resulting in "no network connection".

Seems like they both have some sort of LSP and seems to be always conflicting each other.

Any idea how to solve it? Change to another AV?

Can try AVG Antivirus (free) and see if the problem goes away. Firstly, must uninstall Avast.

Just use Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes. AVG is another option.

BTW sidetrack abit what are your temps and overclockings?

uninstall antivirus = problem solved. use window defender
tink ur antivirus need put lan killer drive in exception from firewall

I originally using Windows Defender but it is useless. It can't even detect the BitCoin Miner Virus which infected my com.

I now permanently disable all the shields of Avast.. Test a few days to see whether it still corrupts the winsock. Avast seems to always overwrite the LSP of Killer LAN for its shields.

Tried AVG. Dun like it. Uninstalled.

4.3Ghz, 1.18V,
Max temps around 82-83'C for AVX instructions.
Max temps 70+ for normal load.
