Need help urgently to solve this. I received this e-mail after an e-book. Maybe I am the unlucky ones that was randomly picked by their system.

No problem for me since my kindle touch days.

I have read his blog and followed his instructions since day one of my Kindle. But don't know why they can detect my Debit card is not from US and they immediately send me this yesterday. This thing is disturbing for me the whole of yesterday.

I worry that if I change the country setting to "Singapore", gone are my selection of books. I bought a huge collection of e-books since I started to use Kindle.

2 cents suggestion here:
Step 1: install kindle for pc / mac.
Step 2: download all your kindle titles into kindle for pc / mac. these are your kindle titles files, make sure the downloaded files are well kept.
Step 3: see if you can settle the amazon verification requirement or anyone got better a suggestion. If not, skip Step 3 and proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: google for how to DeDRM your kindle titles and backup them in the format that kindle can read (this may not be a legal thing to do, so I won't go into details, but for your case, you may have to do this).
Step 5: De-register your kindle from your current amazon account.
Step 6: Sign-up a new amazon account and register your kindle with it.
Step 7: Side-load all your kindle titles back into your device.

Hope everything will be fine.

Did u use your debit card to buy the books or did u use the card to buy gift cards and then bought the books using the gift cards?

They check the IP address sometimes and that's how they can detect people.

What you'll do is to ignore amazon's email and do this:
- get yourself a US vpn like what I use.
- continue buying ebooks.

Haha I am kinda hoping with the Haze and Air Purifier craze that Singaporeans go crazy buying masks and air purifiers using Amazon Direct Global Shipping to Singapore that they will consider lifting the vpn and kindle books ban in Singapore.

I am also kinda irritated that I can't buy my Lesley Downer books from amazon us where my kindle touch is registered since the books are on the kindle uk store.

Not that I want to but end up I have to free drm on the books from kobo store then convert the books from epub format to mobi format to read on kindle touch

End up I do that to the azw books from the Kindle USA store too. Might as well remove drm from all the books.

I use unswindle or something thats the name of the software to remove drm.

I don't think it is amazon's fault. They would like to sell books to us as much as any book seller wants to improve sales!

Er basically i just send it to my computer and look for ePubee DRM Removal

i think the files are stored in the c:\users\ folder for adobe acrobat or something.

then i send the book to my kindle using epubee

I got the other books I bought from either the now defunct ilovebooks.com and Free Books | Good Reads for Kids! | Books Behind The Blockbuster | best-books-of-2012 | Hot Picks: What to read after Fifty Shades? | In The Limelight | new-releases | bestsellers | skoob

basically they open with adobe acrobat or something then i remove the drm so i can convert it to mobi and read on my kindle.

I have done this for lesley downer books and the notes from a smaller island series from Neil Humpherys.
