You using King now?

What do you mean do the rest outside haha.
basically, besides bed and wardrobe, I didn't need much inside.

it's meant for sleeping (and some couple stuff... haha)

so yea... king size + wardrobe for me.

other loose small furniture can come go.

hi TS,
if you even need to consider, go for Queen.

my M bedroom is just a King bed, two side tables, a stand fan and an air purifier.

others next room.

btw, dont you guys think the length of the bed is more of importance?
SG standard is 1.9metre right? which I feel a bit limited
Thus I eventually bought my bed oversea and went for 2metres

hmmm? unless you very tall if not 1.9 more than enough? if buy bed overseas, then your bed sheets if you looking for fitted one, need to buy overseas also. cause i guess very rare to find those in SG

I'm of average height. But if 1.9m, the pillow is about 20-30cm, the remaining part not enough le the ankle will hang out
Yes you are right, bedframe+ mattress + linen all need to be sourced oversea

For me, only king size. The difference of 30cm cannot build wardrobe la. Wardrobe need 60cm depth

no need to only be sourced from overseas. major mattress brands will do a custom sized mattress for you, for a surcharge. bedframe can be made out of custom carpentry. and off the shelf king/super king bedlinen can cover 2m long mattress easily, as many of these bedlinen are designed to fit thick mattresses, hence are sufficiently sized to cover slightly larger mattresses.

I am in the same boat. But we decided on King over Queen as well, since our MBR is slightly larger than the other "BTO" sizes. We plan to supplement the storage with a storage bed frame, so it's not totally lost.

The reasons are largely similar - comfort (we both have super single beds at present), and (God willing, if we are blessed with children) future planning when the child may want to be with us for the early years or for the nights they are unwell and need to be nursed and cannot be left alone.

There's also room for stuffed toys, if that's your fancy.

When I was in the army, I seen some at 1.85m or those with ultra high BMI also can squeeze into 1 single bed. In civilian life, suddenly need much bigger bed. Haha!

There’s a difference between forced to and preference

Hi all,

I am considering between a King and Queen sized bed for my 4-rm BTO master bedroom. I think we are quite lucky that our master bedroom is slightly larger than others and we have the luxury of choosing either sized bed. Even with a king sized bed, we still are able to have a good amount of wardrobe space and space for a vanity table.

We are now thinking if we should just down size to a queen size bed instead and save that 30cm for additional wardrobe/cabinet space.

Hoping to get some insights on this. TIA!

Queen is more than sufficient. King is a luxury.

Think we are now more inclined towards King since we have the luxury of this space and its just extra S$300 haha

As long as you know the pros and cons. To change bedsheets can be a hassle, as well as washing and drying...

Aside from that, King will give more real estate and good if have newborns to sleep together.
