KL or Malacca?

As what sendtolee said, Malacca can cover within 2 days.

If you ask me to choose, I will definitely choose Malacca. Malacca has very nice local food and rich in Peranakan culture. I have been there 6 times!

Half day jalan jalan can finish.

Personally, KL food more suited to me.
BKT cannot be beat.
Go Ampang by Grab for YTF.
Pudu got all the street food you can eat.

I also did Melaka for 2 days (full) then take bus/coach to KL for another 3 days (full)

Depends what's your area of interest, otherwise do both as suggested.

I prefer roaming the streets and popping into shops and malls now and then, and am more comfortable doing that in Melaka, so I stay there between 4 to 7 days each time just hanging out here and there.

Once went to KL for an errand in between, and stayed a night in The Gardens and Residences. Had wanted to return to Melaka after lunch but ended up heading back after breakfast.

I find it more relaxing in Melaka. Over a period of 3 years, I was there every 2 or 3 months.

KL is more accessible by public transport and actually better than Melaka anytime.

Melaka more historic, peranakan people will like.

KL quite big... If u stay in the city, a lot of traffic, and good train network.

Personally... 5 days is quite long for Melaka, 3 days 2 nights wil be just nice IMO. It's easier to spend 5 days in KL, then again I got friends and family in KL. so 5 days would be very easy to settle in KL. lol

Melaka is more relaxed with foods and herigate. Why would you want to visit another shopping mall abundantly available in Singapore.

Malacca is more on relaxing but nothing much.. would prefer KL

melaka would say is a more "quiet" place , to sit down and eat chendol, jalan jalan

kl would say is more of crowded place ... more shopping malls to shop and more options for you to choose when dining in ... more hotel choices of course. in terms of transporation wise, they have trains ... just that going airport is far, one hour journey ... u can also consider going genting, if u wanna go there to gamble ...
