Bro.. fire extinguisher heavy lar... and who the hell go out carrying a fire extinguisher one... walking stick maybe... but most walking stick out there are hollowed and light weight... unless you can find those solid cane one... light weight but still very sturdy... but how effective for defending yourself from a knife attacker... no idea.. unless you are trained in doing so.

But if it is outside with a lot of people, can tell from the environment, people looking at your direction, the sense of danger is there.

Some says keep using phone when walking is a signal to the attacker that you are easy target. If both hands are out, looking around like window shopping, the attack might want to look for easier target.
