Seems that all the gaijins flock to Steakland right north of Sannomiya station.

It is actually Hankyu Sannomiya station, different from the JR Sannomiya. It is about a 5 mins walk from JR Sannomiya station. As for Onsen, you can try going to Kinosaki area, famous for the onsen around Kobe area, from there can even take the ropeway up to mount rokko for one of the supposedly best 3 night views of Japan.

I also went to Steakland, hmm haha but that is the only one I tried so not sure if it is really good compared to the rest. But haha it is already very good enough for me even I just ordered the most basic 4700 Yen starting grade kobe beef

Oops, yeah forgot to add that if you coming in via JR it'll be a different slightly further away station.

For me I went to Kobe specially for Steakland and nothing else lol, go in eat then get out :p IMO any food lover in Osaka/Kyoto area should take the train to Kobe to eat at least once in his/her lifetime :D

just tried it for dinner awhile ago in steak land. ordered the special kobe beef sirloin set and kobe beef sirloin set. The difference really is obvious. Though both is very much worth it...1st time i tried kobe beef, and it was very satisfying..must try.
