Flat white got less milk vs latte, not sure where the confusion comes from.

Flat white has more milk la. I worked with barista and café owners.

I have a full bezzera set up for almost 2 decades. Previous don't know what machine from parents.

Flat white is the one can draw those detailed latte art with very fine and thin lines. You can't draw those fine cartoon with very thick foam. More foam = less milk because the foam is air.

The cappuccino in Singapore is more like latte with about 2cm thick of foam on top. You literally pour less liquid milk then stretch and pull the milk volume up.

Authentic cappuccino is almost extinct. You pull the milk become all foam. Although it looks all foam when you lay your espresso in it, it will sit just in the middle swee swee 1/3 foam, 1/3 espresso 1/3 liquid just like what classic cappuccino is. Those local and American/aussie versions are already *******ised, don't listen too much.

I think our local coffee scene flat white is used loosely. A true flat white certainly taste stronger because it uses less milk.

Flat white {most milk} > latte > cappuccino {least milk}

Singapore cappuccino is often in actual more like latte.

Singapore latte is often more like flat white.
