Korea clueless first timers!

Just bought Thai airways cheap tickets to Korea with my wife this autumn (going mid october) for 7 days tour!

Since its both our first time there... Need helpful itineraries to sic

We already shortlisted nami island (possibly petite france and garden of morning calm since same area). Guess this will take one 1 full day.

Remaining 6 days go where ah?

My wife wanna go myeongdong and dondaemun for shopping also.

Myself is a shutterbug so probably going chungmuro to see see look look.

Maybe give us an idea of where would you be stationed for this 7 days? Korea very big leh haha.

eg. Jeju? Busan? Or just focusing on Seoul or Gangwon etc

i think 7 days not enough to travel too far... maybe just focus on seoul... furthest we going is nami island

Just to share, this is the metro lines in Seoul:

Probably at least half a day to 1 day: Nami Island:

To Nami Island, U can take the metro (Mrt) from other stations to

1) Wangsimni
2) Sangbo or Mangu
3) Alight at Gapyeong
4) After exiting Gapyeong station, walk opposite bus stop and wait for bus 33-5. If you worry, when u see the bus coming, just ask: "Nami Island" to the bus driver?
The bus will drop you to the dock, go to buy the ferry ticket to Nami Island.

Last Oct, I stayed at Hamory Guesthouse, about 5 mins walk to Dongdaemun Subway via exit 10 booking thru' expedia with 10% discount using mastercard.

For 7 days I would recommended choosing another city..as in seoul and busan/jeonju/gyeongju
Can try staying in a hanok or temple stay. Gyeongju is more of historical place, shilla dynasty. Jeju is another option, can go for 2 nights.
Rmbr to check the weather forecast, might rain in October(based on experience)

Google Map works in Korea, but it's in English. As with all non-english countries, it may not be accurate. If you're looking for a location in Korean, just copy and paste into the search bar and it will work. For English addresses, it may not be able to find the location due to direct translated spelling errors

Dun want those touch and go trip leh.

Busan takes a couple of hours to reach. To fro already 1 day almost gone.

Jeju if go 2 days gone.

I think those outside seoul one will planned for a longer trip (eg 10 days) to cover outside seoul...

For day trip, ppl usually go DMZ (half day enough, don't need to do the full tour) or suwon (hwa seong fortress), the other few days in seoul is fine.

Mt seorak, but even further lol. You can look at what day tours there are when you are there or look at klook to see what they offer. They can pickup from various locations.

I had almost 7 days in seoul last year, other than half day dmz, i thought a bit boring unless you're really into shopping. I managed to visit nearly all the palaces and main landmarks. I don't go to any theme parks though.
