Just went to Ssikkek at Chinatown yesterday for lunch. $16 nett.
Not many choices of meats perhaps because it is lunch, but I was quite happy just eating the marinated pork collar and the pork belly. My friend went crazy with the bacon. The beef bulgogi was just sliced too thinly to have any bite.
I liked that it was well ventilated and didn't seem too cramped.
Yea, the chinatown branch is also my fav. Got see the lady boss with the short short pants/skirts? They serve food for the belly n eyes too![]()
whoa, got such food for eyes also?the lady boss![]()

Oh yes. Almost forgot about this place.
Ju Shin Jung is slightly on the expensive side. Lunch came to about $35 (Weekday lunch buffet $29++) but the service is really good. They grill the meat for you and they pile the side dishes on your table. Only thing is that they only have chicken and pork for the buffet. Beef is ordered separately.
On top of that, you can a choice of 1 dish from a separate menu which include things like spicy beancurd soup, grilled saba, cold noodles, beef rib soup... I can't remember the rest. I had the beef rib soup and it was really tasty.
I wouldn't mind returning to Ju Shin Jung for the service but if I'm looking to fill my stomach on a low budget, Ssikkek would suffice.
Ju shin Jung at west coast or east coast . They have buffet on weekdays
The best Korean BBQ I tried in Singapore
