How much do you hope to save? right now, saving not much as MY tourism fair just over last weekend, but too bad, over already. Like Dorsett Regency $99 near Pavalion, Coronade hotel just beside Sungei Wang at RM188++, all 4 star hotel.

Good deal, even better than online....

Well, of course you are not going there specifically to buy it. Is it worth the while since you have doubts about their being authentic and the warranty. Thus it is
1) how much do you hope to save?
vs
2) is it worth the while with those doubts?

Ya I have my reservations on their warranty hence asking for other inputs on their experiences. I am considering buying Wii remotes and Memory cards so maybe can bargain for a good deal. I will see how it goes when I'm there..

I stayed at radius hotel and I felt its not too bad and its affordable. It's almost fully booked when I was there so u can phone or email to ask. It's within walking distance to dungeon Wang etc. Approx 5 to 10mins.

Most electronic stuff are based on local warranty (Valid in Malaysia only) and not international warranty.

No point buying unless really urgent or major savings.

The fair is usually in Oct. In the past, the fair is rather dismissal and disappointing. However, since last year, I found bargains and even batter than.. I think NATAS offer. Anyway, best is to check either Suntec or Expo website for the event advertisement. The event was published in the press, Straits Times and even had a section devoted to it in Life section during the fair. It was also on TV too, too bad you missed it, need to do your home work if you want good deals.

Trying Booking.com - most time, providing good deals, even better than any of those you and I are familiar with that constsntly advertised in the press or online. I say most time... cause I have been comparing prices for the past months... almost every week.

KL is a 游子城 unlike Ipoh, Penang, Kuching, etc. It means most of the residents there are from other parts of Malaysia & will go back to their kampung during festive season.

During CNY, it is quite deserted. Even rats can go out & play on the streets as depicted in one of Lat's cartoon.

But of course, the western food, malay & indian food will still be open. But Sungai Wang will be closed. :)
