Hi,

Currently I have 3 standalone PC in the office.
I also have 3 office PC used by 3 staff.

I shall call the 3 standalone PC - A, B, C
For the 3 office PC used by 3 staff, I shall call them X, Y, Z

XYZ are complete PC with Monitor, KB, Mouse.
ABC only have the CPU, without Monitor, KB, Mouse
The KB, Mouse are USB.
Monitor are VGA connector.

I would like to connect ABC to XYZ.
Meaning at any point of time,
X can connect to A, B, or C
Y can connect to A, B, or C
Z can connect to A, B, or C

A do not need to access X, Y, or Z
B do not need to access X, Y, or Z
C do not need to access X, Y, or Z

I do not require multiple access at the same time, meaning X, Y, or Z do not require to connect to B at the same time.

Is there any of the shelf solution/ switches available?

I have space constraint with table space for 4 pax, so the last table I will put those shared PC Hardware (A, B, C).

Thanks.

Thanks.

If A,B and C are serving, no need for KVM, why dun get users of X, Y or Z to have be able to remote login to ABC?

more like you need a basic switch network than KVM solutions.

Seems like windows remote desktop (mstsc) would be the best suggestion. Other hardware based solutions would be the KVM Over IP, which is essentially similar but allows you to interface the remote PC right from the point its powered up.

hi,

the PC A, B, C are standalone, and not able to connect to any office network (due to office policy)
Thus Remote Desktop are out. Moreover, those ports are blocked.
A, B, C will typically be on 24/7.

I'm looking at a HW device solution with no need for any SW installation.
Additional Network switch is out too, for the 3 office PC, as again, I'm not allowed to change any office network configuration.

I'm thinking of 6 "3-port or more" KVM switches for my purpose, but I'm not sure if it will work or if there is a better way.

ABC connect to S1, S2, S3
S1, S2, S3 are 1 input -> 3 output type of KVM switch
XYZ connect to S4, S5, S6
S4, S5, S6 are 3 input -> 1 output type of KVM switch
(there are these type of KVM switches right?)

S1 -> S4, S5, S6
S2 -> S4, S5, S6
S3 -> S4, S5, S6

S4 <- S1, S2, S3
S5 <- S1, S2, S3
S6 <- S1, S2, S3
