Surprised no one mentioned level1tech and connectpro kvm yet, both are display port 1.4 compatible with higher framerates

I got a quote from connectpro for the dual monitor KVM (displayport). I estimate the final price to be near SGD$800 after shipping, GST and conversions. I have been thinking about it for a very long time.

Yup, already using one. Will wait for my current rig to die before getting a new display for my needs.

Tried to do the same for the xiaomi 144hz monitor with a desktop and a laptop.

Encountered a lot of problem with ugreen or some other brands from taobao with running at high refresh rate, usually stuck at about 50 or 59 hz instead for the desktop or laptop. Switching cables does not help.

So I used a usb switch just to switch the input devices but found it tedious to switch the input using the monitor buttons. Also found some software to switch monitor input but does not seem to work.

Found a batch file from intel forums to sort of force the active pc/laptop to off the monitor and I subsequently press the USB switch button which activates the video signal for the second PC and it displays on the monitor. Takes about 5 to 8 seconds but totally worth it. Less cables and will never have problem with refresh rates due to direct plug into monitor. Could probably deal with 3 pc as long as your usb switch allows for 3 PC.

I am using the ugreen usb to share my keyboard, mouse and wireless headphones dongle between my work laptop and gaming pc

Both connected to my X34P via hdmi (laptop) and Display port

2 steps instead of 1 but that's probably the only way to utilize G-sync and 120hz refresh on my pc

I wanted to get the connectpro as well but on reddit some users reported problems with the samsung odyssey g9 so I went with the level1tech kvm. Problem is have to preorder so only ship in march.

Your headset must be USB. yes audio works via the USB (Headset) and you can switch between 2 devices.

Why don't you look at Gigabyte's M27Q/M27F monitors, they have KVM in build with USB-C + 170Hz refresh rate.

Hi, did you end up getting the ConnectPro? I'm thinking of getting the UDP2-14AP (assuming it's S$1k after shipping, GST, CC fees). I've done some research and it appears ConnectPro is the only KVM with EDID - which allows dual-display switching without shifting/resetting existing windows. Because even Level1Tech's KVM doesn't have that.

My current setup is: Own PC (2x DP) + work laptop (2x DP to DVI via USB-C dock) to 2x U2412M. All peripherals are connected to one of the monitor's hub, which is then connected to a USB switch. So right now, I'm having to switch display inputs all the time via monitor OSD along with the USB.

Just get a USB 3.2 peripheral switch from a reputable brand (ATEN) with a multi input (with USB-C) monitor.

I am using one set of keyboard, webcam, USB DAC and mouse, on 4 computers.

I think about $150 from Taobao? Model should be US434.

My last ATEN switch lasted me 10+years and I have also been using their product for enterprises/production. So it is a no brainer for me to go back to them again.
