Rooks rike there's much we don't know about Singapore.

Anyone watched Incredible Tales last night? Their version of a pontiank seems weird though.

i think not pontiank.... think is this one as mentioned by thechariot

malays call this the 'Orang minyak'... yes he got black magic.. and also this evil spirit rapes young women..

penanggal is something like this:
beasts.jpg

hmmm.... me wondering about the same thing also.... cause if chalet, if its dirty or not, only once you are there then can know.... and if its 'dirty'... then a bit too late also...

seen a few of the tw talkshow, sometimes, those 'fakes' they say till 'got dragon got tiger'.... and some of their 'remedies' are just 'talks' only. think one of the main thing is to show them respect etc. don't try anything funny (although someone in the grp will 100% do it:s22:)...

No doubts there are fakes, still some are creditable too. Need to be observant enough... from their expression, flow and logic of stories... can more or less determine whether is bluffing or sincere. Think having a critical mind and good basic knowledge related to 'those things' helps too. A total layman will definitely be easily taken in by the stories as they are very captivating and colourful.

Still, from their stories & discussion, its possible to learn something and have a deeper understand of 'those things', as oppose to those shows that do purely for the scare factor.

e.g. One show mentioned a method of locking finger... it supposingly help chase them out of the body in a possession. Think ever seen it being used before in 'guai-tan' also. But if no one mentioned its a method, normal viewer would usually passover it without noticing.

For those keen on hearing others talk and exchange such stories, and enjoy being scared by these stories... no need to wait for gathering or go far, just go watch a marathon session on a collection of these talkshow and discussion. But must be in the middle of night, alone and with the lights out. In time to come, some 'lucky' few may come to have their personal freaky experience also.

Initially, didn't think that watching such talkshow can also have its effect, but something happened in one of the marathon session manage to convince that there could a possible risk also.

that one is using red chopstick, to lock the middle finger...... but how it works or performed, is actually unknown... is it simply just 'lock' will be ok, or is there much more stuff about it?

actually for guaitan, i think they don't use much 'special effect', hence they usually ends up with 'nothing' but at times, their place of 'shooting' even thru youtube (where i'm watching) does give the 'feel' also. but watching tw one, too 'fake'... example chair fly from 1 corner of the room to another.. etc... yet i shouldn't deny that, tw discussion can use as very basic background knowledge.....

if watching tw this talkshow, i might as watch jap's one..... on their accidental recording of 'them'...... although i can say the jap one is all fakes... probably 99.8% are fake.... :s13:

for at home watching these stuff.... i could say most likely is your imagination to 'feel', unless your house is not 'clean'..... but still don't deny a possibility..... cause its seems watching/hearing these stuff could reduce your resistance and increase your sensitivity... hence if outside, is more prone for attracting them, as they are curious on what you are talking about. but most likely they are the harmless one.... only come ssrr....

hoho... this one very hard to say..... maybe while waiting for you, she could have put the chair then to sit down etc.... then forgotten about it..... cause me got some friends like that one.... but most of time is too much stuff on their mind that they failed to remember some minor actions.

but me not at the scene, and neither do i know you nor your gf, so can only speculate some possible reasons..... cause me speculating this as you do not have other experiences, only this incidents? btw, how long have you stayed there for?

no 1 will seriously put the chair outside the bathroom and sit down 1... because just next to the bathroom is the kitchen.. just 2 steps away ... there is a chair and table to rest.. why would someone wif correct mind move the chair from living room to kitchen and put it infront of the bathroom... thats weird..

i stayed there for 5 yrs btw.... every now and then when i am sleeping.. gt the feeling of someone is staring or watching over me...but i dun care..

yeah..... same here... wonder is it that simple? if so... need find out why middle finger? and chopstick must be red? or is it based on ancient times 'red chopstick'?

from my analysis of this case (only a possibility), its because

in ancient times 'red chopstick', the red is coloured onto it (unlike now where we can get red plastic chopstick)... the red dye used for colouring the chopstick probably contain ingredient such as Vermilion (朱砂), which also has history of warding evil..... (which i think last time ppl use red chopstick, not for eating, but for those altar type only)

and why giap middle finger? cause old saying middle finger is 'directly connected' to the heart (old saying 10 fingers is connected to the heart, but middle is most direct, some link in chinese: http://club.youshang.com/html/04/4804-15012.html). need to further verify this middle finger information..... :o

edited: all i know is middle finger is a very communicative hand language which is understood almost internationally.:s13::s13:

oh? living room chair? k..... that's a bit weird, cause i thought is the dining chair (which is normally in the kitchen) or some chair used in the kitchen one..... my bad... should clarified it further.... :s13:

5yrs.... so your house usually only you and your parents? and sometimes your gf? and been like this for past 5 yrs?

sidenote: not trying to intrude your privacy, was just wondering if it could be due to any kind of changes which trigger this phenomena.

Cannot, pls use common sense. Rumour must use logic to examine. 15km, tunnel? WW2 time? If it was, den it's already longest tunnel in the world. :s22:

actually, this rumor is plausible.... but if the tunnel was completed is another story lor..... :s13:

like they also says, a tunnel is rumored to connect labrador park to sentosa..... but sg is famous for its natural deep sea... imagine how deep they need to dig? then the pressure in that tunnel (during ww2) can tahan or not? probably the project is also abandoned after they tried to build it..... :s13::s13:

i think its possible that they start building the tunnels only to find it infeasible etc... the lack of planning on the feasibility could be due to the situation they were in (ww2) where they need all things/plans etc asap.....

but main thing, this 'tunnel' do exist right? cause i do recall hearing it somewhere... but is there pic to verified the existence? cause i know the labrador tunnel do exist, but has 'collapsed', and is out of bound due to the danger it proposed....

hmmm.... maybe the story of the missing gal, is also due to the collapsed of the tunnel?

nope, something supernatural was hinted.

As for this tunnel... personally, i'm quite inclined to believe it exists since there has been an overwhelmingly amount of stories involved...

eg, if you go through the WWII stories, there's bound to be one or two that has regards to this tunnel...

Personally, i feel that there's a possibilty that instead of one long tunnel, it could a series of short tunnels connected to each other.
