Wife prefer SQ over ANA thou..I like SQ is becos check-in luggage weight usually they will just combined and nt by per passenger.

Both have pros and cons. ANA usually have better food. Seat wise SQ is more comfy for me. iFE also better

I find the food normal only leh..

Even for biz seat, I love the old a380 over the 787. The seat of a380 can easily fit the 2 of myself lolol.

The food from SG is quite normal but the one from JP is much better, at least based on my experience. ANA kids meal is very nice.

Paid the round trip with miles.

Agreed. The food for JPN > SG wowed me when I flew ANA this May and September.

I am more of scenery person than shopping. The problem is JAL and ANA dont fly direct to KIX. They transit at Tokyo because their hub is there. So i have no choice but to take SQ. Also if the price not much diff then overall SQ better also?

Yes, forgot about the direct flight path. In that case only SQ makes more sense. Just keep track of their seasonal promo early 2019.

Usually it’s 8-9mths before your intended departure date. You can do a random check every week or so to see it’s movements. Deals are getting harder each year I find due to more and more tourists.

finally after much deliberation and thinking, i finally booking my year end flight with SQ for the route direct SIN-KIX.

Booked period 25th Nov (Mon) - 2nd Dec (Mon)
Cost is $1k +/- due to tax inclusive. without tax is about $950. Locked the price before i goes any higher. Note cost is without add ons and seat selection.
Insurance can buy cheaper 1 basic and seat selection as i travelling solo, no need to select seats and its add on cost.

At first wanted to book a day earlier 24th Nov (Sun) - 1st Dec (Sun) but when i last checked the price is $1.3k, a $300 difference!

Anyway hope i dont have to change the dates or cancel..

been aiming to go kyoto for a long time already
