kyoto kurama onsen

Hi,

It is worth going on a half day trip to Kurama.

My main purpose go there for onsen.

but I will be going there ard dec either 23/24/25?
My concern is worth going? and can go?
since this period is very cold. .

Kurama is worth going. But I have not been there in December or to the onsens so I cannot advised you on that.

The last read up i had was that the onsen is not a so called "famous" one. So going there just for the onsen may be too much. most folks go there because of the long hike and a nice soak after hiking is god send.
