Hi guys, are any of u have used or intend to using this 1day/2 day pass?

Is it worth to get it ? Any experiences ?

Then I came across this pass and wondering how worth it is considering it can only be use in Keihan lines

You can find the details here. The pass allows one to take all metros in Osaka, but not JR rail. In Osaka, metro is much more convenient than JR. It also allows one free access to many attractions that require entrance fees.

For me, it is very worthwhile. Whether it is worthwhile for u, you have to decide.

You are damn funny. You wrote Kyoto Osaka Sightseeing Pass and you asked if it can be used in Osaka. Don't use in Osaka, use where?

If you have the JR Pass already and is intending to use it to travel to Kyoto, why do you need another transport pass?

i see! so it is a different pass that we are talking about.. i am specifically referring to the pass that uses Keihan lines only

If u want to get it, make sure these are true:
- you don't already have a 7 day Jr pass
- the places you want to visit are near/walkable from keihan stations
- you are based in Osaka and want to go to kyoto

If any are untrue, u need to research more and consider if the pass will be worth it. Or if it should be combined with another Kyoto subway/bus pass.

I'm using it today from Osaka. For me it's worth it coz all the temples, shrines and gion area I planned to visit is covered by the line. Plus, a trip from Osaka to Kyoto is already 420 yen. Two ways is 840. So the 1 day pass, valued at 800yen is worth it for me.

If u already have the Jr pass, I think not very worth it liao. Unless get the Kyoto only sightseeing pass or Kyoto 1 day/2day subway pass instead.

In Osaka, this pass not very useful. Either use ic card or Osaka subway/metro pass.

Thanks for answering my qns. Yes I already have JR pass but just thinking to see if traveling within kyoto and Osaka requires another pass.

What’s ur itinerary at Kyoto like?

I went to check my schedule and I think I won’t be getting any pass because I’m going fushini inari, kiyomizu dera, gion shrine and nishiki market in day 1 and day 2 going arashiyama bamboo, tenryuji temple, monkey park, golden pavilion, silver pavilion and philosopher’s path.

Seems like it doesn’t take keihan lines or any public transport that frequent.

It is only worth it if you're visiting Himeji from Osaka/Kyoto as only then will the cost of the train ride be more than the cost of the 1 day pass.

Otherwise commuting between and within Osaka/Kyoto won't cost much using Suica and other regular prepaid cards.

I find the Himeji Tourist Pass at JPY2000 a better value than the JR 1 Day Pass (at JPY2300). The Himeji Tourist Pass includes a one way ticket on the Nankai Line from KIX to Namba.

Cool, didn't know there was such a pass. Maybe it was not available when I last travelled there.
