Kyushu Itinerary Help

Planning a trip to Kyushu in Nov mainly to catch the autumn leaves. Any advice on where to go, looking at 9-10 days. Considering whether to self-drive or take the public transport. Please share your itineraries and experiences, thank you!

No particular places in mind, just want to catch the autumn foilage

Depend on whether you intend to drive or public transport... coz some of the places with nice autumn foilage is not easily acessible by public transport.

I'm intending to drive so that I can have more flexibility

Would recommend the following places for autumn foliage.
- kikuchi valley
- kurokawa
- Takachiho Gorge
- Ebino Plateau (3 lakes hike)

Also, you should be able to see some nice autumn foliage on the road in perfectures like aso & oita.
