Lag and freeze Windows 10

I realised it can’t be multitask. Rigs detail on right.

Surfing chrome on cna news, HWZ forums multiple tab and steam background install game.

Trigger a small lag. I went to have lunch with chrome closed, steam game install minimise to task.

Window have auto power standby after few mins of afk.

Lag or freeze when attempt to start menu or Ctrl alt del to restart. Sometime it took a Long wait.

After restart the speed back to normal.

Is it a ram issue?

It happen again. Was watching Chinese drama. With steam downloading game.

Start to freeze lag. Cannot shut playback. Ctrl alt del Long wait. Restart logo took awhile too.

i'm on windows 10 also, trying to play football manager and browse on firefox concurrently.

every now and then also lag.

if there is no high process usage when lagging - through task manager
then it is likely your HDD/SSD having problem

You already mentioned unable to handle multitask. The hardware system which you have is unable to handle the load and thus lag or even hung.
In ley man term, it means if you ask a small child to carry 10 chairs at one go. surely he cannot and might carry it one by one .
What you can do to help is remove some unwanted application like News, Money etc. or Tweak the "service" in window/system32/service.
But beware ..... and becareful ... Adding more Ram and using SSD does help too.

Too much JAV on your HDD la.

problem is windows update running in background, but you not using ssd.

If you have windows 10 pro, go gpedit.msc and disable windows defender antivirus and set windows update to run manually.

If you are using windows 10 Home, nothing you can do except change to ssd and install windows 10 pro
