Hi all, need some advice here.

As we will be arriving Narita morning 6am, is it good to head straight to Lake Kawaguchiko before heading to Tokyo the next day ? Or better to go straight to Tokyo n just go a day trip another day ?

are u planing to stay a night in lake kawaguchi?
if so, then going straight will be good coz u avoid the hassle of changing accom again.
but if it a day trip, then do it another day. then wun have to bring luggage there

We have no preferences as we just want to view the mount fuji. Is it better to stay for a night ? Our group consist of young 10yrs old n old 76 yrs old.

So we are looking for a more relaxing trip.

Personally, I would highly recommend staying overnight. Generally speaking, early mornings are great time to have a clear view of Fuji-san. So next morning, make sure to wake up early. Lake Kawaguchiko area is also very pretty (awesome in autumn!) and a great place to relax in.
Yes, definitely I would stay a night. :)

Yes, please go there straight to Lake Kawaguchiko. Allow yourself enough time to see Mount Fuji both afternoon and the next morning. It is because you can never know when the cloud will move away from the summit of Mount Fuji.

Please stay there overnight. It is fresher to sleep with much pleasure.

do consider taking the Shinjuku-Kawaguchigo-Shinjuku highway bus at 1750 one way for adult and 880 for child.

it's the easiest, considering you have a kid and a senior. Cheaper than taking trains too. Book your tix in advance though.

cpuer already offer you the bus suggestion.

If you prefer all-train route, it cost more. You can refer to this website - http://www.hyperdia.com

As long as you reach Otsuki station by JR train (it may be express or normal type), you can transfer to another company's train to Kawaguchiko station
