budget of 600 can make it ma ?plus air ticket

This is wat i normally do for by

Plan your holiday 6 months ahead if posible.
Look out for promotion airfare by budget air e.g. Air Asia,Jetstar,Tiger Air
Look out for Friday pomotion airfare by Jetstar..if lucky enough airfare is about $200 +-
As for hotel there are many 2-3 stars quite good location hotels rate from about $50 comes with breakfast.
Meal wise $2-$5 (depand wat you eat)
Travel by BTS ..save time and money..(bangkok always jam)

So i personally think $600 is quite enough for you:)

Note: look out for scams and be careful, no matter where you go.

It depends on your view of a trip. If you are a person who does bag packing all the time, you won't mind clean hostel which is less than $20 a nite to sleep in. If you are very particular about quality and safety, $600 won't be enough for a 3D2N tour for 2 pax in BKK.

For beginners, you can go to BKK or Phuket to have a good time. On average, air ticket cost less than $200 per pax and hotels about $60-$80 per room per nite for a decent boutique hotel. If you are looking at pratunam shopping area in BKK, the average price is abt $50 or less.

Your description on expenses is very brief. For me, I will spend more than $600, for 2, for a 4D3N trip for a quality trip in BKK. This is inclusive of an international flight and the stay in a 4-star and above serviced apartment stay for 2. (In SG, you won't even get this kind of enjoyment for merely $600 in 3D2N)

$600 I think better stay in Singapore and save more then you go..

Go holiday is to have fun, why think so much, save here and there end up not happy.. no point..

4d3n including hotel + air tickets in my opinion need at least SGD$900 for 1 person.

wow u take businessssss class ... stay 5 star hotel lol.. $900 per person.
take a budget airline, staying at a normal hotel to BKK at paturman area only cost 350-400 max for 1. how long you going to stay in the hotel during your holiday after all... just to zzz....

Want cheaper go pattaya, $30 can get your a decent room and 150B massage!!
Rent a bike for 200B a day and will save you from all transport.

Hi Bro, I don't take Business class or whatever... I take Jetstar/Tiger/Airasia, whichever is cheaper... Let me break it down to you... I travel to Thailand 3-4 times a year..

Average airticket price now $230.

Hotel for 3 nights = $50 x 3 = $150

$900 - $380 = $520

You go there for holiday, so why so budget ?

$520 for 4 days spending is definitely reasonable..

I'm not talking about spending money in the bars yet... This is just normal shopping + eating + maybe clubbing for 1-2 nights..

I'm familiar with Pattaya as well.

Hotel is $40-$50, unless u wanna stay in guest house, that will be around $25 a night.

Motorbike renting is available at around 150 baht/day, if u rent more days it will be cheaper. Same for hotel, u can negotiate if u stay longer.

Looks like you're not really enjoying yourself over there with that kind of budget..

Having a budget is fine but just bear in mind that a budget is just a budget! Give yourself ample leeway otherwise going for an overseas holiday is going to be more painful than enjoyable.

Please don't budget S$600 and leave for Thailand with that S$600 and nothing in your bank account. This is just trouble waiting to happen!

I budgeted S$1k for my last trip back home to my wife's hometown but in the end, I spent S$2k. But thinking back, if I were to hold back and stick to my budget religiously, I know that my wife & I would not have enjoyed our trip as much as we had.

So remember that a budget is a guide but not a "be all and end all", written in stone concept that you have to follow.

Cheers!

Oh and I realised that it is your first time to Thailand. All the more reason that you should have a bigger budget! It is because you would not know what is the going rate for this and that and all the items that you are buying or the food that you are eating.

Only subsequent trips or with friends with experience then you will start to pick up subtle signs or knowledge as to how to spend your money.

More importantly, the main thing is to enjoy the holiday!

I travel to Thai ard 5-6 time a year slightly better... haha

Well agree with you why so budget going on holiday, personally I don't really too.
Just a suggestion for bro here who ask for the budget of $600 =:p

I don't really spend much in thai nowadays after so manys year of travelling there.. just simple food.. massage. Not even shopping sometime. So $200-300 is more then enough for a short trip. Still very enjoyable for a simple R&R=:p

After all with your experience in thai, I am sure you know where to shop.. eat.. etc to save. :s13::s13:

Most things are cheap. The only thing that I think is more expensive over in BKK are branded items, especially fashion wear/bags and REAL perfume. :)
