Thats the reason Thinkpads are renowned for their sturdiness. The IBM era models are even more rock solid

this is one aspect of build quality and the thinkpads fit this criteria very well.

do note the toughness applies largely to thinkpads, where most don't have dedicated graphics if gaming is a factor for u.
