Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a new laptop for video editing on the go. I only have a few requirements for my laptop.
Not too heavy (2kg)
Not too big (<17 inch)
Fast CPU ( i7 preferably )
and a discrete graphics card.
SSD cache for fast boot up would be nice too, but don't have also can.
I have never used an optical disk drive in the past 3 years so I don't need it. (makes it lighter). But have also can.
Price range $1800 - $2100 SGD.
I have an asus zenbook ux31e but it doesn't have a discrete graphics card and it's a shared laptop.
Been considering the Asus Zenbook U500VZ and the Samsung Chronos 7. Are there any similar alternatives to the Zenbook? I really liked using the zenbook so i'm thinking of sticking to this line of ultrabooks but I'm not sure if there are better options. The U500VZ has been out for some time already so maybe there's something better. Please share your opinions!
