Laptop keep shuting down by itself

Hi there,

After 10minutes into boot an old laptop that is 6 years ago.
The laptop is very slow now after just upgrading into Windows 10.
The laptop keep shutting down by itself.
Btw the battery cannot be charged anymore.

What will be the best option now?
1) Remove the harddrive and backup
2) Send the laptop for repair

try frest install windows

It could be overheating due to the cooling fan(s) spoilt or clogged with dust. Try disassembling and doing a clean up.

You should of course backup any important data on the hard drive as a matter of priority, and consider changing to a SSD if it's still using a mechanical drive.

If everything else is working fine, it should still run quite decently for basic usage with a SSD and fresh Windows.

remove battery. dont use windows 10 without ssd

Press and hold the on/off button

Unplug from electric source and remove battery

Get the new Ryzen 5000 laptop if u can find one.... it's as good as any top desktop on paper...
