Laptop recommendation help

Hey guys,

Was wondering if I could get some recommendations for which laptop to get. Currently the games I play include league of legends and dota 2, I may sometimes play assassins creed type of games on my laptop as well. Was wondering which laptop should I get to play dota 2 and league of legends at the best graphic settings and with a smooth framerate.

Was looking through products offered by Aftershock, Asus and MSI, however I am not sure if I need such high end stuff just to primarily play League of legends and dota2. Hope I could get some recommendations from you guys. Thanks man!

if that's the case, aim for a budget below 1.5k maybe around 1.3k thereabouts. There should be alot of generic brands that can fit that price range and handle LoL and Dota2.

Assassins Creed might be tough though unless played on low settings (of course final outcome depends on the actual laptop chosen)

Oh and I forgot to add that I multi-task alot. So i require a laptop to allow me to multi-task better, and i would want around a 15 inch laptop as i would want portability. Hope to get some more recommendations. Thanks!

yo.. 2k is quite alot for a laptop to play Dota2 and LoL. You can get one for less than 1.5k

If your budget is 2k, you can get quite alot of brands outside there. Aftershock's XG15 is quite value for money at 1.7k-1.8k depending on configuration and would have the best graphics card for this range - the GTX765m. But the laptop is clunky and thick. If slim factor is a consideration, have to look at other brands already for 15".

For multi tasking needs, just need to make sure you have min 8gb ram (honestly don't need anything more than 8gb). Good enough.

Which i agree with that the extra money = SSD perhaps? + upgrade your wifi adapter to Killer then you are good to go

For 15 inch, I have 2 candidates in mind.

1) Aftershock XG15 - Specs and value wise, this is one of the best. Only draw back is that it can be heavy for some users. I am using a bigger X17, and loving it.
2) Samsung Chronos 7 - This is pricier and specs are older. Been using the older model for a year, and love this 15.6 inch laptop too for its wonderful backlit keyboard, decent specs, fantastic battery life, and good weight for its size. Newer model now should be lighter due to the lost of the ODD.

Using both brands currently, and they complement each other very well. Thus, the recommendation.

Is this the ASUS G55? The GT 750M actually performs slightly better than the GTX 660M..and this laptop is using the 3rd Gen processor whereas the N550JV is equipped with the latest 4th Gen. Of course the advantage over the N550JV is the 2nd year warranty. But if warranty is not an issue, perhaps u have to consider other aspects like notebook asethetic design..cooling system efficiency etc..
