Hi,

I would like to seek recommendation for a laptop to be used for mainly simple home-based business, basic photoshop work, emailing and internet surfing.

I'm looking for a laptop with the following:

• Lasting battery
• Stable processor
• Relatively lightweight
• Screen size around 15 inch
• No heat issue
• Price range of around $1300

Will there be any trade-in offers at the upcoming IT fair?

Long lasting battery is hardly come by. Can last for 3 years is already consider not bad.
Stability wise depends. No one can confirm this for u.

My existing laptop is very old model liao. Almost 7-8 yrs. Toshiba Satellite M645.

What will be the brands worth looking at? I have all along been using Toshiba as the laptop can last for at least 4-5yrs

Business Laptops

If you are looking for durable, light weight, long battery laptops

For tablets, you can choose

Dell Latitude 5285

For 2-in-1, you can choose

X1 Yoga, Yoga 370

For normal laptops, you can choose

Dell Latitude 7480, Dell XPS 13/15 9350,9360,9550,9560, X1 Carbon

These are some of the good laptops available in the market.

PS: I am a big fan of thinkpads and dell latitudes due to its durability. Mac is durable as well but the price is exorbitant.

Sup bro,

If you are considering HP, HP elitebooks would be the best bet. Do not stick to consumer line such as spectre if you wish to have durability. However, price might be a huge turn-off. Dell and Thinkpad offer same durability and specs but at a more affordable price.
