For me - I enjoy Zephyrus G14. More than 11 hours of battery life, awesome performance for gaming and VR, thermal management that never gets hot to the touch too! Check it buddy!

Not bad but 8gb ram is slim. If you can upgrade to 16gb, it will be great.

I would suggest buying Lenovo legion 5. Everything about is quality with minimal fluff and bloatware. Screen is awesome as well.

Looking for a laptop to replace desktop... found that Lenevo Yoga Slim 7i 15inch 16gb I7 , so far anyone have other recommendation ? Quite confuse with many model... just for office and light games only.. not a serious gamer.

Any recommendations for laptop below 700, 15inch? Using only for work (Microsoft office) and watching YouTube. Overwhelmed by all the different processors and ram discussion. Was initially looking at Acer swift 3 and Asus Vivo s15 but they seem to be too pricey and over spec for my needs?

Since your limitation is your budget and you only need it to run office. Pretty much don't have to worry about getting the fastest cpu. Make sure you get one that has a ssd.

I suggest Lenovo. But the key is find a model that you like. Like good keyboard. Better to go to a store and check it out.

Other than sdd, aesthetics and keyboard, what are the other factors you think I should prioritise in order? I do forsee some multi tasking (zoom calls with presentations and spreadsheets open). Thanks!

Check the weight. Make sure it ain't too heavy. Bring your work bag w you and see if it fits. Carry it and sew how it feels.

While shopping around at mall, from salesman that screen brightness like 300 or more nits have sharper images,,, all laptop seem quite nice for me.. LOLs,.. so confusing. Searching around.. Legion 5 is a nice proposal. Thanks

Got one more tip. Never fall for those free stuff they give you. Like mouse or backpack or wireless ear buds. Those are usually cheap. If you are negotiating, ask for discount for warranty or upgrade on ram.

Thanks! Just wondering, is it possible to bargain at Challenger? Passed by yesterday night and they had some decent deals. I know it's possible to ask for deals at Harvey Norman and courts.

I've never done it but can't hurt to try. Remember don't fill you have to jump on a deal right now. There are always good deal. Sometimes it is better to walk away than feel buyer remorse.
