My Asus S46 laptop has reached its 3rd year and the resolution is 1366x768x16. My screen resolution does not show the end x16 but my display settings on one of my PC games shows it. Additionally, when I print screen, I have 2 screens showing... No idea why, or how. Using windows 8.1, and have reset the computer twice. It happened after a tuneup on my computer failed... I need advice...

For the wallpaper thing, have you tried right-clicking on the desktop>personalisation>desktop background? Then at the bottom left there should be a picture position dropdown menu to fiddle with. That might solve your wallpaper issue?
For the other issue, I have no idea...

Nope. It doesn't work. I think it is the resolution issue. Thanks:)

It should be a display setting issues. Probably set to extended screen, that's why 2 screens during screen shot.

Your first screen resolution is also probably in the wrong resolution.
Try playing around with the display properties.

How did you do your "reset"?
Did you do it back to factory default?

If you have done your software correctly, then the only other possibility is graphics card failure. :(
Is your S46 a GT640 or GT740 graphics card?

Ooh. Back to 1 screen! Thanks a bunch! But now its the wallpaper that is the one bugging me because my game is showing me 2 black sidebars, and that the resolution is still 1366x768x16... On top of that, my wallpaper still looks oddly "zoomed in", and completely different from when the laptop was new. To answer your question, I did a refresh while a tuneup that failed looped the laptop within the start up and tuneup, which then resulted in this problem. Then I tried factory resetting it, and the result was the same. Does this mean I have to replace my graphics card? Most probably my graphics card is GT640.

I don't know why you use these nonsense "tuneup" apps that usually are just loaded with malware and can alter critical system settings. I suggest you bring it back to the shop you bought it from and have them correct your graphics settings.

Also learn how to use your own computer. Don't let others make changes that you "dunno what they did".

Ah. Noted! AVG tuneup's full of malware? I really didn't know since it belonged to an antivirus software. It was included in the package. Haha. Thanks for your help.:)

Most of these softwares ends up slowing your system more.
If you want to clean your system, using ccleaner. Free and safe to use. :)

How did you do the factory reset? Did you reformat your laptop totally?
