Hi everyone, do you all have any recommendations for laptop/tablet convertible that's cheap and of good quality?

I've seen the asus transformer CHI T100 and it seems good, anyone using it currently? Would appreciate your inputs, thanks!

Wrote this sometime back.. hope it helps you with your decision.
Do also note that the active stylus that comes with it uses AAAA sized batteries - slightly hard to find.

I am personally using a T100Chi as my daily hybrid tablet / netbook combo for school.

It is a pretty awesome for normal day to day usage (general web surfing, Video watching and word document editing etc...)

Being quipped with a Core Atom Z3775, it's not designed for much more than the above mentioned tasks and it should not be thought of as a 1:1 affordable laptop replacement.

It is though a fairly good tablet and it does come with a digital stylus (think Microsoft Surface) which allows for writing on - i.e. one note and windows journal - and this makes it good for those who wants to jot down notes, on the go.

Of course it isnt all merry and the downsides that I have encountered in my usage so far are the slightly cramped keyboard which does hinder one's typing experience and lags do occur as the battery dips below approx 25%. It also does not have any usb ports on the dock and the tablet itself, requiring the use of an adapter or bluetooth accesories.

Storage is also a pretty low 64gb (for my unit) - understand there is a 128gb variant but it is expendable via micro sd.

Ram usage is consistently approx 50 to 70% and tabbing and multi tasking can be done but not over done.

For low usage such as watching videos, using office or normal web surfing, it shouldn't be a problem. The only problem lies with the charging time. Try not to lose or damage the orginal charger. It's really meant for it. I tried using my Samsung phone charger and it didn't manage to be full after charging overnight. And now I'm searching high and low for the right replacement. Haha
