Laptop > TV problem via HDMI

My laptop is connected to samsung LA32R71WX/SAP lcd hdtv via a hdmi cable, however the resolution on the tv on extend/duplicate is not full. I have checked the tv resolution is 1366x768, but I am unable to set the resolution on my laptop to 1366x768. Looked around for the TV settings but am still unable to get the full resolution. Appreciated if anyone could help tks

I remember similar problems with my friend's connection to his Panasonic Plasma.

Search for a "overscan" function either on the TV or Laptop graphics settings.
