Hi guys,

My laptop ASUS model K45V running on window 7 would not turn on this morning. All my school projects are in there. I have tried using different batteries and holding to power button for 1 minute or so. However, it still wont turn on.

The signs are:

1. when connected to wall socket, the power lights comes on after i pressed it. But it disappeared after about 10 seconds. The tiny LED with a lightbulb image on it is also turned on. But disappear with the power light as well.

2. While the power light is on, i cant feel anything running inside the laptop. No HDD reading and such.

3. When i connect a battery without using the wall socket, there is no lights on the power button even after i pressed it numerous times. its stone cold.

4. I usually leave my laptop on hibernation unless during updates. Not really sure is thats the cause.

Please give me some suggestions on how to jump start the laptop without needing to bring it to ASUS. It is really urgent and i am pretty desperate now... Please advice.. Thank you! Thank you!

Sounds like a motherboard issue.
Anyway, if your harddisk is ok, you can always take out your harddisk and get an external USB SATA convertor and use the data with another computer while your laptop is being repaired. :)

As above. Data more important but for the laptop, I'd suggest getting a new one instead.
