Hi, I am starting a study program at NUS next week, so I thought of buying a laptop at NUS Coop pricing.
Requirements:
i5/i7
SSD
14 inch
NVidia is a plus
Budget : 1.3 - 1.8K
Coding/Number Crunching etc

Thinkpad T480 - $1.7K

Any other alternatives around .. Ideapad 330s and Acer Swift 5 seem good as well.

I would trust thinkpad more if same price range

If Lenovo, got check on Lenovo website before trying to buy from NUS?

I noticed NUS coop actually more expensive when i was last shopping around few mths back as compared to Lenovo online.

Lenovo has either SGNight / Student coupon to remove -$250 for thinkpad

Not sure for other brands, but for the T480.. NUS is $1.7K
while official Lenovo, is 2.2K (-250), still more ex then NUS

You are right is more expensive by 100+? It comes with 3years warranty at 1c s well

Cant remember coop can upgrade or not but Lenovo site can insert touch screen, more batt capacity, discrete gpu and other customization

If all these not needed, then yes, coop cheaper for this model.
