Have been using my LG86" for more than 2 years now and still one of the most used screens at home for all my netflix, ps, switch usage. Recently introduced my son to switch games and the amount of estate for mario kart, switch sports is just so generous. 86" entry lvl model from lg is also cheaper than ever, probably 2400-2600 can get. Samsung's entry level 85" is also at 1999.

Was at tampines courts earlier this week and they have the 100" hisense tv on display. Going for 9999 but unless i move to a ground floor unit, it's not going to fit in the lifts haha

Can go via staircase instead of lift, right?

Wow i just realised too and this price is really good. Only thing is not sure about the QC for prism tv

Also realised that they somehow manage to squeeze the 100" into the hdb lift by unboxing the tv on the ground floor. Amazing!

Some say pointless to waste money & space for a huge TV when you can just sit closer to a smaller TV for a lone-user to get the same immersive experience ... LOL

I find it quite true, except my eyes get tired more easily.

Lol imagine do all that then after they on the tv got dead pixel or other defects. Also, repair how leh? Repeat this troublesome delivery process again ah?

Imo hdb / condo really should get smaller than 100, hard to watch content and read subtitles if tv is too close.

Pixellation imo is the least issue / noticeable compared to contrast, brightness, processing, motion etc.
Not for me though. Can't stand visibly huge individual pixels! Luckily, at my age, I cannot see pixels up to 75". 😅

Sit further? Imo pixel issue is when ppl sit too close. Other issues(contrast, motion, brightness etc) cannot change one.

Imo at that price should at least be mini led. Based on tv rumors and news, 2024 will have more options from competitors in this space at that price point.
Err
For that price and size- you can’t expect cutting edge technology la.. budget prices…

Based on news / rumor, the likes of tcl / hisense will be competing in that price range with mini led in 2024. $4k+ for 100, $3k+ for 85 etc.

Don't think so much on the uncertainty about future repair. That is not the job for the owner.

I sit at 3.3m for a 120 inch and I have no issue on the content and the subtitles from Disney plus and Netflix. I feel as long we have at least 3m viewing distance. It should able to accommodate a 100 inch regardless your hdb room size. Once my 75 inch tv spoilt in my bedroom and i wont hestitate to get 100 inch for my bedroom.

imo repair should be a consideration, hence why a lot pay extra for branded brand due to the after sales.

3.3m is ok as recommended for that distance is 110 inch, so your 120 isn’t much more. The calculation is simply x1.2. So ideal 120 inch *1.2, convert is ~3.6m distance.

https://www.samsung.com/sg/tvs/tv-b... suitable distance,inches, or 2.3 meters away.
