Laser printer: Oki, HP or Canon

Print up to 2000 a month.

Had Fuji xerox, but they don't seem to be around anymore.
Looking for something reliable and cost efficient in the toner.

Normally drum + toner together the cost of the toner is more expensive?
If that's the case, will prefer to have them separate.

Fuji-xerox is still around, but focusing on B2B now. You can still buy them, but prices are definitely not as competitive since the home user is not their focus.

Yes, drum+toner is more expensive. Also can't really use 3rd party toner there, whereas you're more likely to be able to use 3rd party toner with a separate toner+drum setup. Toner is fairly standard across the brands anyway, unlike ink where there are different consistencies.

Why not Brother? In terms of cost efficiency, they are among the best now. I feel HP and Canon aren't that good. I'm currently using a Canon MF249dw, and after 2+y the plastic is breaking at funny places. QC is horrible now.

I have a hp color and a mono laser printer at home for like 2+ years. All still working excepting running low on the black toner. using those ink tank printer now. haha.

Toner and drum are separated, but compatible toner availability is rare, can only find them from Amazon SG.
Can't find much reviews too, they seem to be a Japanese company and hopefully they are as good as the Xerox.

It's using LED printing tech which is suppose to be more reliable with less moving parts.


For HP, I'm leaning more towards the LaserJet Pro line, need wifi printing.
For brother, have no idea what's comparable.
