Day 12 after TransPRK - Back to work since yesterday and had to reduce brightness of my monitor plus increase the fonts a bit. Also had to take breaks every 15-20 minutes to give my eyes a rest. There will be moments where my eyes are sharper and moments when its slightly blurry (time to take a break). Yawning helps lubricate the eyes too i find. Excited for my follow up next week where i hopefully will be cleared for contact sports yay!

I did my surgery at clearvision in early December so I will share my experience here. Most of the reviews u see online/google are sponsored posts by influencers and hence they are always positive. My experience was really lackluster mainly because I feel like the doctor was not attentive. Sure he wants to make money but the consultation is like 5 mins max. Alot of guessing work (i.e. will he fix my astigmatism? What happens if my vision is not corrected enough etc.?) I had to ask the WhatsApp staff member in the end. Worse thing is that the post op consultation is seen by other junior doctors. Imagine u do a wisdom tooth surgery and u got complications etc. U are seen by another doctor who didn't do the surgery. Worse thing is that they never even tell u at the start, they just want your money and then leave to the hands of god for your healing. What they promise on the website is also not true, you can go back to work after 5 days but if your job involves fine motor skills, you should wait a month or so as the recovery process is super duper slow. Overall it is a wet market experience, if you want an attentive doctor I think this is not the correct place. There's definitely pros but alot of cons as well.
Also the middle aged lady receiptionist at mount Elizabeth has shitty attitude.

My experience with Clearvision was good. Of course they can't promise or guarantee you perfect vision but for both myself and my wife, Dr Huang was quite clear about possible residual myopia (like -0.25). We were fine with it as our myopia is quite high (-600 & 250 astig for me and -1200 for my wife). My follow ups with him was also quite positive. I noticed some reviews saying that Dr Ho seems to be in a rush for his consultations but i haven't had any experienced with him.

The recovery is slow no doubt which is normal for PRK but i would say 2 weeks would be ideal before returning to work (if you using the computer a lot). I'm sorry that your experience wasn't so positive and i hope you're recovering well.

Cataract surgery or Refractive Lens exchange can get Multifocal or monofocal option.

So its been 3 weeks since my TransPRK and there's been a marked improvement especially using the computer. Its back to the normal font size Changed to Evolve C eye drops (using every 1-2 hours) and they are way better. Preservative free eyedrops make a difference! Honestly i'll be happy enough if my vision doesn't improve further but i do expect it to get better over time.

Met Dr Huang and did a measurement for my vision. Currently at about +100 for each eye and it will slowly regress to 0 or -50 over time. Using the eye drops regularly is essential for healing and i also take Omega 3 too (Cod's brand is cheap and good). Cleared for contact sports earlier this week and its been awesome without having to worry about contacts.

If Do LASIK , still need cataract surgery in future after 50-55 and degree keeps changes when lens turns cataract. If do RLE, never will develop cataract in future and degree forever stable onwards.
