Went to SNEC today for lasik assessment. Doctor told me my cornea thickness is 515 microns. Need go back another time for a 2nd doctor's opinion to see if I can still go ahead for the lasik
I was wondering if it's advisable to do epiLasik surgery with just 150 degree short sightedness in each eye?
I'm having 150 degree in each eye with abit of "san guang" and was wondering if i should take up the surgery.
Went to see Dr Cheryl at The Eye Clinic. She quoted me over 16k (10k for surgical related cost + 6420 for lenses) I thought it is way too expensive if compared to those who said they did it for around 8k. Anyone has similar experience?
Hi there, anyone compared between Dr Julian and Dr Cheryl? Can share your finding or experience please?

Does anyone have good result from clear vision on their safe sight prk?
This seem like a recent New technic for eyesight correction. Anyone has anymore info?
I don't think it's a new technique. More of a marketing term. Essentially, it's transepithelial lasik. They use laser to ablate the epithelium and shape the cornea.
Last December 2016, I did Epi-Lasik at EEC (under Dr Julian). Also, completed all the review check-ups. However, common side-effects like halos and glare still exist after post surgery till now.
Sadly, there are still degree residual leftover.
Left: 25 deg (Astigmatism)
Right: 50 deg (Astigmatism) and 25 deg (Myopia)
* Previously both my degree were 375 (Myopia)
Dr Julian said that he will only proceed with re-surgery (over-correction/under-correction) if the degree residual is above 75 deg.
In my case, my left side is 25 deg [< 75 deg], and my right side is 25 deg [According to Dr Julian, apparently 50 deg (Astigmatism) cancels out 25 deg (Myopia)].
Now, about 7 months after surgery, it had left me no choice to live with this degree residual for the rest of my life. Under low-light environment, vision tends to get blurred and hard to focus.
In conclusion, do consider properly before you proceed with the surgery. You could get perfect 20-20 vision or ended up like me.

what if need to do re-correction, due to eyesight deteriorate?
i did lasik at snec about 8 years ago
which type of procedure to do?
From what I read, it's an improved vision from epi lasik? Surprisingly, I didn't see much reviews on this.
EEC, clear vision, Shinigawa and jerry Tan eye clinic all provide this technique.
Hard to believe your credibility with your 1 post count.![]()
