epi-lasik recovery time

Hi, I have some questions about epi-lasik and hope those that have done the procedure could share your insights. My job requires me to use the computer the whole time.

1) How many days of MC and annual leave did you have to take before you could go back to work?

2) How many days after surgery before your eye sight feels good enough to drive?

3) I seemed to observe that those that did Lasik had a higher chance of full degree correction while those that did Epi-lasik, seem to have some residual degree left. is this true?

Thanks all!

1 I had my epilasik done at eec on a Wednesday afternoon.
I got back to work Tuesday
So total of 3 days mc only + weekend, no annual leave

2 I don't drive, sorry.

3 My doctor said mine actually got overcorrected which is okay and gives me allowance in case my eyes regress.

Hi to those who went for epilasik before, can you take the mrt alone after the surgery, and also for the appt the day after the surgery? I plan to go for the surgery alone as i dont want to trouble my friends and family.

Yes can be done but I suggest getting a cab instead going home after the surgery.
Reason is taking mrt might take longer and the anesthesia will wear off after 20mins or so after the surgery. You don't want to be in the mrt when that happens.

Next day check up, yes I took a bus but I made sure I had a hat, sunglasses, and used umbrella for protection.

I went for Shinagawa’s Intralase Lasik on 27th June.
Original Prescription: L-550myopia&150astig R-500myopia&200astig
so total 700 both eyes which fall on high accdg to dr.Lee.

1st day check up 0/0 (is this ok? I thought normal shd be 20/20?
1st week check up L-0 & R-50astig

today is my second week and it’s noticeable that my right eye is a bit blurry.

Should I be alarmed?

I also had super dry eyes during assessment so I was not considered suitable/not suitable at that time. I was prescribed to use eyedrops for 2wks. Then when i went back, my eyes were no longer dry so I was scheduled for surgery. But my corneas were a bit thinner than normal so I had to top up for CXL. After surgery, my eyes were dry again which caused the 50 astigmatism on my right eye. But dr. Lee said nothing to worry about, it is expected to fluctuate esp that I came from a high prescription. Now I am using not only the normal eyedrops and gel, I was also prescribed Ikervis which is a tear stimulator. It’s only been 2wks and Im kinda stressed right now bec I can notice that my right is blurry. Anyone experienced the same thing?

Full name and contact number and date of surgery will be asked for confirmation of referrals. What I did was google those bloggers who posted about their Shinagawa experience, pm them and ask for the details required. Cant share mine as I dont have enough posts yet to pm

Hi all. I jumped the gun and made an appt for lasik procedure with EEC for Thursday 18th July. I told them I want to do the checks and surgery on the same day, if possible.

But came back home last night and read through many pages of this thread. Seems like EEC is not exactly the top choice. Seems like Shinagawa is really popular. Or even Clearvision.

Anyone got suggestions? Scared that I am making the wrong choice for EEC sia.

Thanks!
