Its kindda difficult situation for me. If its not tight enough air will go in and my eyes will get super dry fast.. do u have any recommendations where i can get those eye masks with contours around theeye area such tt it will not put pressure onto thr eyeballs?

I recommend searching for padded safety glasses/goggles. Those with foam coating around the frame will provide cushion for when you toss and turn on the bed. Keep eyedrops by your bedside and any time you wake up in the middle of the night, moisturize your eyes. Also don't have the fan blowing directly at you and try not to use aircon when sleeping.

Doing those above have helped me a lot :) wish you a speedy recovery!

hi the cost depends on which type of LASIK you are going for.
newer methods more expensive and no flap methods available which makes recovery faster thus more expensive. can be up to 5000-6000

older methods probably 3-4k

theres a reason u pay higher for private. i let you do the judgement ;)

however, for those who need a more comprehensive weigh of pros and cons before going for the op, feel free to ask. if i can advise i will :)

Shinigawa is the recently mentioned clinic to go to from the recent posts.
Can someone let me know if they have a referral code for this clinic?
And roughly are there any perks I should be aware of to lower costs for consultation? Thank you!

Questions

Hello. I have a few questions hoping someone could advise me. Thanks in advance! :)

1) Anyone done their surgery at LSC with Dr Eugene Tay? Any review about your experience?
2) Anyone done Relax Smile before? How was the experience?
3) Am thinking to visit Shinagawa for pre-assessment first. Any kind soul can PM me their referral code please? Also, is there any preferred doctor?

Went for the assessment with clear vision dr Ho was quoted $5.1k for transprk and cxl both eyes. My miyopia is about 600 each side and astig 200 each side and yet dr ho was very confident . I’m thinking of doing it in October after I cleared my ippt

Hi all,

Can I ask if high astig can be corrected? Mine is 500 for both eyes. My sister and brother both did lasik but that was 10+ years ago and during that time not possible according to them.

500 astig is a bit too much for correction via LASIK.
Other methods probably okay. For LASIK, even after correction, you might need further retouch.

If the Dr tells you no problem, proceed with caution. high chance you have to return for touch up.
worst still, if not able to touch up , you will be left still needing to wear glasses for distance correction.
For your case, glasses is the best option, if not you can try gas permeable lenses (hard lenses)
hope it helps you a little.

Hi! Thanks so much for your advise on both threads.

So it’s still true my case got no cure 😭😭😭
By saying “other methods” are they permanent? What are my options? Also, are there danger with treating such high degree of astig?

You are welcome.
I wouldn't say no cure... more apt would be the cure would not be THAT effective =:p

LASIK is permanent.
Other methods but much more costly. LASIK is the cheapest option for surgery.
If not, ICL = Implantable contact lenses.
It is reversible.
Dr makes a small opening to insert the contact lenses into the eye to correct your vision. So it is like wearing a contact lens but inside the eye. Then again, has its pros and cons and i dont think the full 500 astig can be corrected. But to be sure, enquire from the clinic itself :)

Ok the word “implant” already scares the **** outta me. I shall try to consult a lasik doctor see what he/she says first. I mean, even if it’s not full correction it’s still beneficial for me. Means I can start wearing cheap disposable contact lens if I need the convenience.

Thanks again for your advices!!
Cheers!!
