Did my lasik with cross linking 4 months ago with EEC and have absolutely no regrets.

I was still afraid the week before as I was reading review and comments etc on their facebook page and this thread. But decided to bite the bullet and just go on with it.

Gave a referral and got some discount which is better than nothing!

Hi, how much in total did you pay? I’m planning to do TransPRK with the cross linking as well at Clearvision and theirs is total about $5k+ so was wondering about the other places

As promised, herewith the eye evaluation with Clearvision:

My appointment was 10am on 19th Oct 2019.

1st step: 0950am registration form, tick the referral from friend/family. No further questions asked.

2nd step: using 5 different machines, to check cornea thickness (right 556, left 562), current degrees, eye pressure, cornea curvatures, any eye infection.

3rd step: using old alphabet reading test machine to determine the exacts degrees and checking the current specs power (current is 6.00 on both). But apparently they have changed; right 5.50 with 0.25 astig, left 5.75. And my dominant eye is the left one!

4th step: eye drops to dilate them.

5th step: watching the video on a really comfy sofa and sign the post lasik evaluation check list and understanding the risks involved. Plus checking the eye dilated process.

6th step: check the eye power again after eye dilated.

7th step: eye evaluation payment, the patient before me was paying $5 instead of $37.50 since he went to the clearvision talk. My turn, I told the lady that I'm going this Tuesday for the talk and if i also could pay $5 only. She checked and said can! Woohooo.. Then she referred me to Dr Ho's mount E clinic 03-08, went there & passed my form to the counter lady. Waiting, all 20 seats are fully taken!

8th step: using the machine in the dark room looking at the blue light with red light behind, this is to determine how big is my optical zone. She didnt tell me how many mm my eyes are. Note: Schwind Amaris 1050RS has 6mm-8mm optical zone.

9th step: see Dr Ho, he was answering all of my printed questions, even though he was slightly in hurry, he seems still relax and answered truthfully. No worries about presbyopia in the future. All and all my eyes are very suitable to use this machine. YAY! Finished at 1pm.

Referral name discount is SGD180 according to the FB page staff but the staff there saying SGD60, but they honored the SGD180 after screenshot my conversation with their FB page staff. They didn't ask the referral name.

Total time: 3 hours 10mins

Appointment to do the surgery is on 25th Oct 2019. Wish me luck, guys!

Cheers

Hello! I’ll be doing my surgery next week, would you mind sharing with me the referral? Thank you!! :)

I just did pre-assessment with Shinagawa Doctor Lee Sao Bíng. Got rejected as I had scar from an infection 16 years ago and the scar probably wasn’t in a very good spot. He said the same thing which was being conservative doctor. He’s really such an ethical doctor. 👍🏻For those who got rejected by Shinagawa, did u guys end up doing lasik or PRK or ICL from another clinic? Anyone having the same experience as me? 😭😭😭

not sure if it's considered good price or not?

Ive have some question regarding the above surgery, i heard from some people that Lasik causes complications as you age? Is that true? Plus, if i were to go for the surgery, does that mean i can watch TV very close, read book in the dark all these doesn affect my vision any more?

i paid around the same but less referral discount of about 400

Evaluation Test at Clearvision

I just went for my evaluation test at clearvision on 26 nov. Overall, the staff are nice and they will try to help you get the most accurate results of your eyes. I redid my test for 1 of the machine about 5 times for my left eye as couldn't open big enough (the staff tried to help me to open as big as i can) and another 3 times for another machine (i told them that i need to use my fingers to open bigger) at the clinic in the hospital. It felt a bit depressing as i have to keep on redoing. But in the end DR Ho said that i am able to do the surgery. So now i'm waiting for my surgery in end feb next year. I only paid $5 for the evaluation test as i went for their talk before doing the test. They will also dilate your eyes before they send you up to the clinic in the hospital. Need to remember to bring sunglasses and wear it for that few hours after they dilate your eyes.

Wow February... gonna get mine next week. Fingers crossed.

They did tell me they'll be providing sunglasses though.

One of the best decision I ever made. I paid $7,000 to have it done and I must say it was money well spent. I will suggest Singapore eye centre.

Full name and contact number and date of surgery will be asked for confirmation of referrals. What I did was google those bloggers who posted about their Shinagawa experience, pm them and ask for the details required. Cant share mine as I dont have enough posts yet to pm

Hi! Is it possible for you to email me the referral code/details pls? Thanks!

Alright so it's day 5 after surgery (I had mine done on 3rd Dec). SafeSight TransPRK + CXL

Had a long wait for the surgery. While I arrived early at around 10.15 as requested, the surgery only took place around 12+ and ended at 1pm.

First 2 hours after surgery was absolute hell. While I could see, it was extremely blur and my eyes were tearing non stop. I just kept trying to close them. I somehow walked to Taka, took a cab home (I could barely open my eyes to tell the driver to turn left or right), popped a painkiller and went to bed.

Woke up in the evening it was better but everything was blurry. Thankfully they labelled all the eyedrops with huge red markers - I could NOT read any texts at all. Despite maxing the font out on my phone and having it in bold, everything was difficult to read. Had my dinner but skipped the painkillers as it wasn't hurting anymore. I did pop a sleeping tablet they provided as I couldn't sleep though.

Day 2: was uneventful, no phone no tv no nothing. I couldn't read anything still, and resorted to taking screenshots of messages and zooming in on them to see.

Day 3: went back to the clinic for scheduled checkup. By now I did not like lights at all. I could see relatively comfortably in the dark but every bit of light was annoying to me. Doc mentioned that since my degree was quite high (600 + 200 astig) per side, I should remove the protective lenses on Monday instead to allow for more healing.

Day 4: still extremely sensitive to light, but texts are starting to get clearer. I'm starting to appreciate sleep as each time I wake up I feel like things are clearing up.

Day 5: I can read the bold text on the bottles now! Sleep is definitely your best friend during these 5 days. But as of now I am thoroughly bored - hence the post here.

Will update again on Monday when I remove the protective lenses. And no I'm not being paid for any of my comments here.
