Correction.

Hi, people who are considering or going to do Lasik.

Hope you do take a look at this.

After 9 months since my Lasik with Dr Lee at Shinagawa Eye Centre.

I would like to share and correct myself by saying that i am better off by doing Lasik, but if given a chance again, i would prefer ASA-Lasek.

In regards to the eye drops total costs. It will cost you $2000 as what i quoted in the past only if you used it frivolously.

Anyway, please do your due dillgence in choosing a right clinic and doctor as you can't afford to risk your vision or worst go blind. (Google LSC Dr Marc Tay twice separate botched Lasik Lawsuit)

At Shinagawa Eye Centre, you would be given this specific eye drop called OptiClear UD. Given that it is costly, i managed to find a substitute of the same special ingredient "0.20% Hyaluric Acid (HA)", called (blink intensive tears) which is retailing at Watsons and Guardian.

Please do schedule your appointment with Shinagawa Eye Centre in the afternoon if you have difficulty waking up in the morning. Your eyes have to be well-rested and fresh when you are going for your lasik.

And if you have oily skin, wash your eye lids with eye wash product or the cheaper alternative will be baby body wash with clean towel/tissue. Keep this up for at least 2 weeks, this will help to unclog meibomian glands. After lasik, you can't wash or shower for 1 week so better to start off with a clean eyes

My vision is 20/20 as of current and dry eyes has become slightly better, i am actually accustomed to taking eye breaks when my eyes starts to sting .

Eyes is more sensitive/dry towards strong wind, can't wind down the window for long when driving anymore.

Starburst and halo still persists but getting better, i figured i have gotten used to it.

Do avoid haze and anything smoky for at least 1 month after your Lasik as it will sting and dry your eyes out. Learnt my lesson after i went to a bar 2 weeks into my recovery.

Please ignore my previous posting where i mentioned "go for a more thorough eye check at NUS, NTU and Polytechnic". SNEC and private eye clinic is better equipped and have the necessary expertise to look into your needs. Seek more evaluation if you are unsure, i am certain the benefit outweigh the costs in the long run

I hope what i have shared is helpful to you and if you need any further information please feel free to ask. Do pardon my grammar and spelling mistakes.

About $4k inclusive of medicine. First consult $65, cross linking is separate.

Tbh can get help from nurse or admin to help book grab home. The taxi stand is directly downstairs from the clinic.
Hi, the $5 eye examination for Dr. Natasha Lim's clinic is just for the assessment on suitability? Or will need to have the additional $65 doc consultation to know the suitability?

Able to share if there's any referral code?

Just did my ICL surgery with Dr Lynn Yeo yesterday. The surgery was smooth, done in 20 mins or so. The surgery is painless, you will feel just a little bit of pressure on The Eyes that’s all. During the surgery, you would have to stare at 3 bright lights which is very uncomfortable.
Dr Lynn and her team are bunch of pros, I guess it’s because they have done numerous ICL surgeries before. Even the patient before me was there for ICL

But I am seeing halos around bright lights. Going for my 1st post ops review with her later, going to check if the halos might go away after sometime. Feels so great that I do not need to reach out for my specs first thing in the morning!
Hi do you mind sharing the referral code for Dr Lynn Yeo?

My personal view - for ICL, pick the surgeon more experienced with ICL. You rely almost entirely on their skill and experience to determine what suits you, cutting your eyeballs, positioning the lens the right way (toric lenses in particular). lasik is heavily supported by the programme in the machine, especially for flapless surgeries.

My 2 cents (or worth less, since I did not get much of a choice between both options and had to go for ICL).
Hi do you mind sharing the referral quote for Dr Lynn Yeo?
