after lasik, do u still wear spec to protect your eyes?

I wore shades for a period of time even in a room where the sun rays could shine in.

it also took me a while before I could do some outdoor sports and also some diving :(

Does Shinagawa do test on eyesight etc to confirm whether suitable to do Lasik ? What's the consultation fee like ?

Thanks.

yes they do pre-surgery tests, checking the thickness of your cornea, the eyeball pressure etc

it was free when I did it, and I proceeded to do the lasik itself, so it is sort of covered in a package.

but I am not sure what happens if you fail the pre-surgery test, do you need to pay or what, but they might introduce to you the other less common methods

omg, I went to the first page and saw my first few post asking about lasik and now I am helping to answer those questions. since 2009, time has really passed and it still feels like a miracle to be able to "see" again

so bad?......

maybe I took longer than usual

better to be safe than sorry, as for diving the cornea or scars must fully heal, if not the pressure can force it open, which is a scary thought

Guys, how did you manage to get the "free" evaluation from shinigawa?

attend the open forum or "roadshow", not sure if they still do it

Lasik can help improve the quality of life, particularly for those who have a heavy schedule. It requires initial care, after that you dont need to worry except protect the eyes from harsh sun. But then again, everyone needs to protect their eyes.

thinking of lasik

hi guys,

i have a relatively low degree and astig...degree about 150 and astig 200 for both eyes...

however, i frequently still need to wear specs for daily activities like looking at the computer or like watching television. therefore, i am thinking of getting lasik done...

is that recommended? since i see most people commenting here have much higher degrees and lots of side effects have been mentioned...

Sian just went today & they told me got 1.5% chance of developing post lasik ectasia even with cross linking due to my high myopia & an abnormal cornea shape. Guess i was too dissapointed after hearing the news that i forgot to ask him what other options are there.

Sian...... Just went for the check. Was recommended not to do Lasik.... Have a weak cornea and say that my eye degree and specs degree don't match so there some degree in the eye.... Don't understand why...

I wash my hair facing up, soap also try to let the soap flow down the back rather than the front.

wash face do it gently, if with soap also do gently, don't rub the eye ball

worse one is rubbing of eyes, I am very lazy to put the eye shield, especially when sleeping, so when wake up, tend to rub my eyes :s13:

now thinking if I should correct my eyes surgically. 600++ myopia, 350 astig... The cost is  though...
