Apparently the test I did in lsc was with the dilation of my eyes. So they decided to do round 2 of test without dilated eyes. And now it seems, they also rejected me.
what upset was that the doctor was very impatient when I ask him question about my eyes. He just said something like irregular shape of cornea. And he evidently told me he got patient waiting outside.
such is Singapore, I do not agree the fact that you are not going to earn 2-3k from me and such you should get me off your clinic asap. He even told me to take up classes to learn the terms and meaning.
what's the point of being a profession? Say your a doctor, what's your role? To fix something or to generate money? If your in service line, what's your role? To provide good customer experience or to hit your kpi for the day?
it has cone to such pathetic era we live in, humanity is nowhere to be found, even if there is its rare.
Hi there, I also had a bad experience with lsc. Its always best to seek 2nd/3rd opinion especially when it's an irrevsible procedure. If you don't mind the time and money, you can try other clinics which you can find easily on forums.
I went for a lasik talk with lsc and was quite turn off by the doctor's attitude when he was 'presenting' his slides and during the Q&A. I dont see the point of presenting when he was pretty much reading off it. During the Q&A, when i asked him a question which i felt he was unable to answer he replied 'if it works for pilots, it will work for you'. Like WHAT!!! At the end of the talk, they were selling coupons at $1 for their pre-lasik evaluation. I thought it was worth the try, since i had colleagues who had successful lasik surgery here years ago. The doctor's attitude could have been a 1 time thing.
My pre-lasik evaluation with lsc was good, the staffs were polite and told me what the machines do and test for. The lady was very patient despite having to repeat some tests, especially the one which tests for eye pressure. During consultation, the doctor told me even though my eye pressure was on the high side, i can proceed with lasik since my optic nerve was fine. But when i asked him why is my eye pressure higher but still able to proceed with surgery (isnt it a red flag?!), he immediately wrote on a card for me to do proceed with another test. I questioned again, why do i have to do the test now when earlier you gave the green light for lasik? He told me if i want to know more about the eye pressure, i will need to do more tests, otherwise he will not be able to answer me.
What that doctor said was contradicting and made me lose confidence in him as my surgeon (i will have to sign an indemnity form which protects the doctor if things turn bad). When i said i would like to do epi-lasik, he swept off my opinion and insisted that my corneas are thick enough for bladeless without stopping to ask me about my decision.
At least i only lost $1 for the pre-lasik evaluation and half a day.
