Will we be allowed to dump the SBO in camp? Or CQ suppose to collect it? Or can only return/dump it after we officially MR on 1st Apr?

well, you are supposed to keep everything.

in war time, MR doesn't mean no need to go fight leh. MR just means you completed all your NS training obligations. thats why its Mindef Reserves, not Mindef Retirees

more practically, most nsmen keep these at home or give away to those who lost helmet.

Safest is wait till you have no more NS liabilities i.e. 40 for WOSE and 50 for occifer.

After that you can dump at any emart. Or if you are going to throw away, at least cut off the name tag so no one can trace back to you.

Personally I would keep the helmet. Never know when it comes in useful. Everything else I will buang when I turn 40. LOL!

My fieldpack is old type, doubt u want it. Uniform can give since I wore it less than 5-6 times. Boots also abit old.

By right officially is after MR.

Anyway I dun think the CQ is collecting the SBOs, so u may just dump it.

Depends on whether one is in a unit where the whole unit stands down due to most having their last ICT, or in a unit where one is the only few having their last ICT.

If the former, maybe CO may plan some special activities to commemorate the standing down.

If the latter, not likely to have special activities other than the giving out of the watch and certificate. Sometimes the watch and certificate is given out on another day.
