RHB staff told me earlier in the year that their app will be having feature to allow us to get FD advice.
Just noticed they have implemented it. At the FD page that shows the list of FD, there is an icon "Advice". Can click that to request for advice. It is in the form of a letter with RHB logo, your name and address and FD details.
thanks. I saw this on the app as well. Just thought that the FD account will be displayed similar to what's shown on the savings accounts, same as what other banks show

just when I have the funds to make a FD, the rate dropped. it's just one day late! I placed the FD anyway this morning but I can't see the FD account. just the savings account in the RHB app. is it like this ?

Read HWZ Forum Rules!

You have to request for FD acct before placement :)
The request should be within day or 2, same for the placements

which account is this ?
dont seem to see this in maybank website ?
It's the Maybank 3.9% bundle promo. For every amount u wish to deposit into FD, another 10% of the FD value must go into their normal savings account. So it average out to be 3.55%

Those who have entered this code and has been issued the policy, they will send us an email to redeem the voucher correct?

When will they send it? Anyone received it already?
I wrote to Manulife and here is their reply: 'I have checked and confirmed that your policy qualifies for the $50 eCapitaVoucher as long as the policy is held for at least 3 months.' No mention of how I will receive the voucher. Will need to check again...poor CS

Alrdy said 4 months get 4.67% EIR liao wad
Re-strategise again
New UOB account opening: first 6 months no need maintain daily avg balance 1
So you throw in 100K to your newly-opened Stash account, get 3% every month, on 16 Nov oh your $100K unmarked liao, jitao take out the entire $100K
On the 184th day (cos 6 months liao) , go branch queue Close stash account.
Gao tim. It’s that simple :s12:
Just treat this as a 4-month 4.67% FD

Thanks!

u put in other banks will get higher FD rate than UOB and DBS
idk why but local banks will rarely see FD rates higher than non-local banks (like Maybank, SC, BOC, RHB, etc.).

usually we look at the non-local banks to set the 'benchmarks'

Thanks for sharing. Look to be a FD concept but key is below.

SDIC insurance applies to StashAway as a firm to the value of $75,000 and doesn't apply to clients on an individual level.

So ppl who bid T-bill 6 months can bid higher than 3.6% if cannot get can consider this but after ok with above paragraph

Hi all, what I understood is 6 months 3.6% p.a. guaranteed rate for any amounts with no caps and no underlying T&Cs. Anyone has a different understanding? https://www.stashaway.sg/simple-guaranteed

yes 6 months, rate fixed at 3.6%. It was 3.5% when this product was launched couple months (?) back.

but do note on the SDIC coverage as pointed out by the following post :

it sounds like an FD, but its not an FD abit like how the short term endowment plans are - looks like FD but its insurance w surrender value/death benefit, etc.

That is due to how stashaway manages clients funds - in a giant commingled portfolio/account. Some are not comfortable with that so have avoided this robo as a result. Entirely up to individual preferences and risk appetite.
