Latest iTunes does not detect my iPhones

I just updated iTunes to latest version, on Windows 10. Now it doesn't detect both my iPhones (6 and SE).

The cable is OK, because upon connected, I got the prompt to allow the device to access the Photo folders, and I can view the photos on my PC.

Help!!

It seems after iTunes update, the drivers for Apple device got replaced by Microsoft's version.

during the time that iTunes did not dtect my phone, the Apple device appeared under Potable Devices. When I checked the Properties, it showed Microsoft blah blah blah.

So I update the driver, point the path to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
while searching.

After it is done, it disappear from Portable Devices, and appear under USB

sh1t, similar thing happens again. this time a bit different. phone appears in iTunes (i did not update, it appears, I updated, it still appears), but not in Windows Explorer (Win10). this happens to my SE on 10.1.1 and my wife's i7 on 10.1.0

I did similar thing, pointed driver to MTP USB device, then iphone will appears in Windows Explorer, but disappears from iTunes! both iPhone same thing! if I switch driver back to Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, then it revert back to iTunes, and disappear from Windows Explorer....

when I upgraded to latest itunes, itunes cannot detect any of my phone.

followed the suggestion here and it helped me fixed it. use apple driver

Something weird happened, and solved this problem.

I was thinking to do a factory reset, but not whole phone restore, just the settings.

Just now I connected my phone to iTunes. To my surprise, it prompted my to "Update to 10.1.1". Why was I surprised? Because I am very sure that my phone was updated to 10.1.1 on the launch day, OTA. I did it in my office.

Not knowing what happened, I just proceed and let iTunes carry on to download, extract and install the updates to my phone. During the process, it actually "install the new device driver" into my desktop. And now, I can see my phone in iTunes and in Windows Explorer at the same time.

KNN, happy too early. I disconnected SE from desktop, connected it again, can't see it in Windows Explorer anymore......
