Hello all Apple MBP Guru

After upgrading the latest mbp 2016 to OS 10.12.2, there isn't any sound coming out from the machine built in speaker, after plugging in the earpiece, there still isn't any sound. Upon checking the sound system preference, i realize that under the output tab, there is only the headphone port info, the internal built in speaker info is gone!

Likely faulty. My old MBP the airport module is not 'installed' also. Think you might need to send in.

Reformatted the whole laptop and still problem persist, gonna upgrade to OS 10.12.3, and if problem still persist I guess it's a hardware issue...

Plug in a pair of headphones and try jiggling carefully the plug at the socket or plug-and-remove the headphones a couple of times. It's possible that the contact within the headphone socket did not release when the plug is removed and thereby fooling the computer thinking the headphone is still plugged.

If this doesn't work, you have sent in your MacBook to be checked by a certified technician.

Thanks all for your help, the audio came back this morning when I used it. The internal built in speaker under the output tab also came back after I unplugged my earpiece :S

There is a little distorted sound coming from the left side of the earpiece only, now it's all okay already!
